beautiful that you have landed on our ad.
If you are studying in Darmstadt* and looking for a cheap room with a great community, you are at the right place.
Our rooms are cut approx. 14m2 although not the largest, but due to attractive old building architecture, they have high ceilings, which makes it possible in each room to use a spacious high-bed/intermediate level (at which in some cases even a 1.40m bed can be found) (see pictures of the sample rooms).
Our house has 17 rooms, two newly furnished kitchens, numerous bathrooms, one learning and living room (with Sky TV), a rustic party cellar and a small garden with barbecue, seating and a table tennis table.
The rooms are each equipped with a sink, the high bed and a network connection and Wi-Fi. Almost all rooms also have a large desk and wardrobe.
You will receive this for 245€ per month. It contains everything in terms of rent and additional costs. In addition, there are only costs for Community purchases of things such as detergents and toilet paper (approximately 15€ in the semester).

Wenn du in Darmstadt *studierst/studieren* wirst und ein günstiges Zimmer mit einer tollen Gemeinschaft suchst, bist du bei uns genau an der richtigen Adresse.
Unsere Zimmer sind mit im Schnitt ca. 14m² zwar nicht die größten, aber aufgrund attraktiver Altbau-Architektur verfügen sie über hohe Decken, was es in jedem Zimmer möglich macht, ein geräumiges Hochbett/Zwischenebene einzuziehen (auf der teilweise sogar ein 1,40m-Bett Platz findet) (siehe Bilder der Beispielzimmer).
Unser Haus verfügt über 17 Zimmer, zwei neu eingerichtete Küchen, zahlreiche Bäder, jeweils ein Lern- und Wohnzimmer (mit Sky-Fernsehanschluss), einen urigen Partykeller sowie einen kleinen Garten mit Grill, Sitzgelegenheiten sowie einer Tischtennisplatte.
Die Zimmer sind jeweils mit einem Waschbecken, dem besagten Hochbett und einem Netzwerkanschluss sowie WLAN ausgestattet. Fast alle Zimmer besitzen ebenfalls einen großen Schreibtisch und Schrank.
Das Ganze erhaltet ihr für 245€ monatlich. Darin enthalten ist eigentlich alles, was Miete und Nebenkosten betrifft. Hinzu kommen lediglich Kosten für gemeinschaftliche Einkäufe von Dingen wie Putzmittel und Toilettenpapier (ca. 15€ im Semester).

The house is very conveniently located at the “Herrngarten” (the social center of the studentship in the summer months) and offers short paths to everything you need (about 7min walk to the center of the city, tram stop directly opposite, various shopping possibilities in walking distance, the north bath only 3 stops further and more.).
Das Haus ist sehr günstig am „Herrngarten“ gelegen (dem sozialen Zentrum der Studentenschaft in den Sommermonaten) und bietet kurze Wege zu allem was du brauchst (ca. 7min Fußweg zur Uni-Stadtmitte, Straßenbahnhaltestelle direkt gegenüber, diverse Einkaufsmöglichkeiten in Gehweite, dem Nordbad nur 3 Haltestellen weiter uvm.).
With us, communal life is at the forefront of what makes us for everything else than a purpose World. We do a lot in common, cook together and help each other with the tasks of the university. So you should be open and communicative.
We only take up male students with us, but are otherwise a rather well-mixed bunch of German and international students in which almost all faculties of all three Darmstadt universities are represented (from philosophy to mechanical engineering). Basically we can be understood as a big WG!
We regularly organize parties and visits together. From ski runs to laser day to canoeing everything was already there.
Bei uns steht das gemeinschaftliche Leben an vorderster Stelle, was uns zu allem anderen als einer Zweck-WG macht. Wir unternehmen sehr viel gemeinsam, kochen zusammen und helfen uns auch mal bei den Aufgaben aus der Uni. Du solltest also offen und kommunikativ sein.
Wir nehmen nur männliche Studenten bei uns auf, sind jedoch sonst ein recht gut gemischter Haufen deutscher und internationaler Studenten, in dem nahezu alle Fakultäten aller drei Darmstädter Hochschulen vertreten sind (von Philosophie bis Maschinenbau). Im Grunde kann man uns als eine große WG verstehen!
Wir organisieren regelmäßig Partys und immer wieder auch gemeinsame Ausflüge. Von Skilaufen über Lasertag spielen bis Kanufahren war schon alles dabei.
